Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics (operated by Vercel Inc., USA). Vercel Analytics does not set cookies. To count unique visits it generates a daily-rotating, salted hash from your IP address and user-agent on the server side; the inputs are discarded after hashing and the salt rotates every 24 hours, so the hash cannot be linked across days. No personal identifiers are stored in your browser and no advertising profile is built. See the privacy policy for the GDPR / international data-transfer context. If we ever switch to or add an analytics tool that does set cookies, this page will list it and a consent banner will appear on first visit.
Affiliate partners
When you click a partner link, that partner may set their own cookies on the destination domain. Those cookies are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies at any time using your browser settings. Clearing expatlas_source_country will reset your passport selection to the default (US).
